SCA Planning works with clients across Ireland to secure high-quality, sustainable and economically viable planning permissions.
Strategic Housing Developments
SCA Planning secured several SHD permissions between 2018 and 2023 for residential, mixed-use and student accommodation in inner city and suburban locations.
Under Planning Ref. ABP-309657-21, SCA Planning secured permission for the redevelopment of Park Shopping Centre, Dublin 7 to accommodate 584 student bedspaces, 29 apartments and a new District Shopping Centre to connect into the TU Dublin Grangegorman Campus.
Park Shopping Centre Redevelopment
Under two separate SHD permissions, SCA secured planning permission for 540 dwellings, childcare facilities and link roads at Ballymany, Newbridge, Co.Kildare.
Planning Ref. ABP-312704-22 (336 units) is under construction as the Curragh Farm development. Planning Ref. ABP-311040-21 permits 204 units.

Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone
SCA Planning has worked with Wm Neville & Sons, a major landholder in Cherrywood, throughout the preparation and implementation of the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) in South Dublin. Permissions have been secured for residential development on 2 substantial plots within the Domville area.
Under Planning Refs. DZ17A/0714 & DZ21A/0806 the development of 300 residential units comprising 220 apartments and 80 houses is under construction.
Under Planning Ref. DZ21A/0414 the development of 99 residential has been granted.

Urban Infill
SCA Planning holds an impressive record of securing sustainable, high-density infill developments in urban centres.
Along the Harold’s Cross to city centre corridor, permissions have been secured for several high-density apartment developments.
On foot of Planning Ref. 4729/18 a 5-storey infill apartment (67 units) and ground floor retail scheme has been constructed at 280-288 Harold’s Cross Road.

Under Planning Ref. 3619/20 permission was granted for a 4-storey mixed-use infill development including 39 apartments at 39-42 Clanbrassil Street Lower.

Elderly Housing and Nursing Homes
SCA Planning works with some of the largest nursing home operators in Ireland and has secured permissions for award winning facilities.
Four Ferns Nursing Home, Foxrock
SCA Planning provided advice from feasibility to completion for the Four Ferns Nursing Home in Foxrock. In 2023, permission was secured for an extension to the facility (Planning Ref. ABP-312975-22).

St. Agnes Convent, Crumlin
As part of an integrated healthcare and residential care Masterplan, SCA Planning secured permission for the Armagh Road (Crumlin) Primary Care Centre, 97 Independent Living Units for elderly persons and a Nursing Home.
The Primary Care Centre and Independent Living Units have been completed.
